The flip side of the wind tunnel coin is that you can make a brick fly if the engines are big enough. Just look at the dynamics of the F-111 which was nicknamed the "Flying Brick" and heralded as a triumph of thrust over aerodynamics. Very loud plane by the way. I'm sure Zach would find an improvement on the brick to make sure the drag was minimized. Maybe add some mortar?
